Timeline of Moving Services
If you are moving within Lake City or to surrounding areas, we can safely get your move completed in just a few hours.
If you are moving a few hundred miles, we can still get your move done in a single day in most cases.
Moves over 300 miles generally require at least 2 days to complete.
The Department of transportation limits our drivers to 10 hours of driving per day, based on our company’s workweek policies.
Moves beyond 1,000 miles usually take 3 or more days.
Furniture Moving Services
The most popular moving service we offer is furniture moving, which often includes assembly and staging. If you have a house full of furniture and just need some help loading a truck, we can do that. If you need a full-service move, where we provide the loading, unloading and the moving truck, that is what we are here for.
Do you have a piano, a gun safe, or any other bulky item like a lawnmower or playground?
Many customers have bulky or heavy items that require special handling and sometimes incur extra charges. This is a safety priority and we must make sure your goods and our movers are safe at all times. Please be sure to inform your sales agent if you have any items of this nature.
Vehicle Moving Services
If you need us to transport or arrange transport for your vehicle(s), we can get that done too.
We can also transport recreational vehicles, riding lawnmowers, and golf carts.
Most vehicles, besides large trucks, can be hauled inside of our enclosed cargo trailers. We can also attach your vehicle to a moving truck with an auto-transport trailer. We recommend against using “car dollies” because the process has been known to damage vehicles. You can read about that here and here.
Pet Moving Services
We can get your pets moved safely across the nation. If you have a family pet that simply cannot fly or fit into your vehicle during travel, we have you covered. We can move dogs, cats, birds, turtles, snakes, hamsters, fish and many other pets.
Extremely large pets like horses require specialty trailers which we do not offer, although we will gladly arrange horse or other farm animal transport for you.
Box and Luggage Moving Services
We can arrange for your boxes and personal luggage to be transported. If you are traveling by plane and have only a small amount of items to move, you usually can only take a few carry on bags.
This is a situation where we will arrange a specialty consolidation and delivery service. We will find the most affordable rates possible.
Fed-Ex, UPS and USPS can charge over $100 per box! If you have 10 boxes that can be over $1,000, just for moving a few boxes. This simply is unacceptable. We will gladly arrange transport for your personal effects at a great low price anywhere in the nation.
Unfortunately, No Customers Can’t Travel In Our Moving Trucks.
You can hire Lake City Mover for ridesharing services, but you cannot ride in the truck.
Yes, we have had several customers in a situation where they needed help traveling to their new home. Be it as it may occur, we cannot allow this due to insurance and liability issues. We can, however, arrange for ridesharing, directly through Lake City Mover.
